I have come to realize there must be a marriage between the deeper pinings and divine awareness and the requirement to live, thrive, and enjoy life in this world as it is currently constructed. Both elements are vital to a thriving life; they are two sides of an equation. I am tempted to call them equal, but I think their weight varies, depending on the season of life and its circumstances.
